I keep confusing the adjacent side and the opposite side of a triangle and I can't find a proper definition for them... How do I know which side is when when the length of 2 sides are unknown?
If we know the measure of two sides of a triangle, then the angle between those two sides is said to be adjacent to both sides. Therefore, the third side is opposite that angle.
