I need some advice. Im a freshman in highschool and looking at classes for next year. Should I or should I not take Algebra 2 with Geometry? Will it give me too much of a headache?

Depends on your mathematical aptitude. Geometry requires a different kind of thinking - different from algebra or arithmetic. But I have seen seventh graders taking geometry and flourishing - so it is not too hard. You'll just have to work a little harder - which can be difficult if you really don't like math.

Algebra 2 and Geometry could do you in.

You would need a spectacular grade in Algebra 1 right now for it to be plausible.

But it really would depend on your work ethic, and if you want to be committed.

Well i have a A- in Algebra 1 right now. I have good work ethic too I was just wondering if it would stress me out too much.
But my options with taking both leaves me with no study hall, if that matters.

I have a friend who is a junior next year and will be taking Senior Math, College Algebra and he said something about pre-calc.

Well it really just depends on why you want to take both maths.
If you plan on continuing your career in mathematics further into college, the idea would be to double on two maths so that when you're a senior you would be able to take Calculus.

You should talk to your Guidance Counselour, I'm sure he knows you a bit better than us.
