R rbcc Junior Member Joined Nov 18, 2009 Messages 126 Oct 12, 2011 #2 Ex- 1/2y = -x + 1 whats ex? do you mean "example" or is that part of the question... if its not then you have -1/2y = -x + 1 and there is no unique solution because you have one equation and 2 unknowns you could do x =1 + 1/2y then all xs and ys that satisfy that equation would be your solution. It would be the same thing if the Ex thing is part of the question, there is no unique solution Hope that helps
