there are 3 questions that I am completely stuck on!
1. Which of the following is equivalent to 6x^2y?
a. 9x^2y-3x^2y
b. 5x+xy
c. (5x)(xy)

2. What is the opposite of 6-x? That is, what is -(6-x)?
a. -x-6
b.-6-x
c.x-6
d. None of these answers is the opposite of 6-x

3. Is 6x-2 equivalent to 6 x - 2 ? What is a proper explanation to justify your answer?
5 5 5

a. Yes: Any time you have a fraction (no matter the operation in the numerator) the denominator is divided into every part of the numerator.
b. Yes: The numerator is a group with subtraction and so the 5 needs to be divided into each part of the group.
c. No: You can only divide the 5 into each part of the numerator if the numerator is a group with addition.
d. No: You can only divide the 5 into the first part of the numerator.

Thank you!! If anyone knows anything on how to help with any of these it would be greatly appreciated.
