On my SSAT practice exam, I have the following question:
What is the value of x if 14x - 3 (2x - 4) = -8x - 4?
Answer is -1
I need to figure out how to do this.
I did the following so far:
14x - 6x - 12 = -8x - 4
14x - 6x = -8x + 8
8x = -8x +8
