5/3-3/2x=5/4

I multiplied both sides by 12x getting

20x-18=15x than added 18 to both sides getting

20x=15x+18 than subtracted 15x from both sides getting

5x=18 than divided both sides by 5 getting

x = 18/5 When I check it in the calculator it is wrong.

Can you give me some help?

18/5 is correct IF 2nd term is 3/(2x); not correct if 2nd term is 3/2x

Example; let x=20:
3/(2x) = 3/40 = .075
3/2x = 3/2*20 = 30
Quite a difference, hey ?
