1. Translate "the sum of 8 and 5y" into an algebraic expression.

2. Translate "4 less than x^2" into an algebraic expression.

3. Translate "12x multiplied by 13yz" into an algebraic expression.

My answers given below.

1. 8 + 5y or 5y + 8

2. x^2 - 4

3. (12x)(13yz)

Correct?
