How do you check division? You should know this. 36/9 =4. Can you figure out a multiplication problem using JUST those 3 numbers. How about with 12/4=3? Do you see a pattern? Think (that is the key part) what the problem is asking! Most teachers (not all!) just solve these problems mechanically and students get lost since they do not see why it works. Ask yourself what number divided by 5 equals 20.
