Hello. I have this homework on derivatives. I attempted solving all the problems but I am not sure whether my solutions are right. Any correction would be of great help.

#2. Do you really thing that dtheta/dt is decreasing? You have the wrong value for dx/dt.

should it be the other way around? dx/dt = 10 and dy/dt = 15 ? But I don't understand why it should be that way. I thought the 15 km/h is the rate of change for x because x represents the distance of ship A from the lioghthouse.

What is the "THING" that you are thinging about??cxzvvt!!*&%!!

Before we go any further draw a few pictures of the diagram for different time periods (ship A gets closer to the rock and ship B gets further away from the rock) and decide if the change in theta is increasing, decreasing or constant? Post back with your answer.

If you want me to help you then you need to do as I ask. Draw a few pictures, state approximately what you think the angles are and post the pictures. Decide if the angles are increasing, decreasing or remaining constant as the ships are moving. Seriously, no pictures=no help.
