At a large company banquet for several thousand employees and their families, many of the attendees became ill the next day. The company doctor suspects that the illness may be related to the fish, one of the three options for the main course. Since all guests had to preorder their meal, the doctor was able to randomly select and contact 80 people that are the fish, 64 got sick. 60 people who didn't eat the fish were also randomly selected and contacted, 39 got sick. The doctor knows at least 1000 attendees ordered the fish.
A)is this convincing evidence that the true proportion of all attendees who ate the fish and got sick is greater than those who didn't eat the fish and got sick?
B)based on your conclusion in A which mistake (a type 1 or type 2 error) could you have made? Interpretate in context.

I have been unable to do any work, I cannot figure out how to properly state my null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis. I really just need help on this first step.

That is not an acceptable reply. If you truly have nothing to offer, you should not be wasting time, energy, or perhaps money on this AP Exam. You will fail miserably.

What is Type I Error?
What is Type II Error?

Give us SOMETHING.

Study the sentence:

the true proportion of all attendees who ate the fish and got sick is greater than those who didn't eat the fish and got sick?
