I need to find all values of "a" and "r" so that the arithmetics series (n=0 to infinity)
a+nr
converges

is there some formula or something that i can use to figure this out, guess and check....any help is great! thanks

If so, the only in the case of a=0 & r=0 would it converge!
I think that you may have written the question incorrectly.
Please review the question, are correct any mistakes.

The question of convergence of an arithmetic series is as you can see trivial.
