What are the asymptotes of the functions f(x)=3^x and g(x)=log?2x, I am having trouble understanding the whole concept.

f(x) - the negative x-axis

g(x) - the negative y-axis

Check it out. You can be expected to know on an exam the general shape of these things.

Can f(x) go negative, no matter the x value? Can you put negative x-values in g(x)?
