Can a negative slope have a positive answer??

I am so sorry...
I made a silly mistake and thought the 2 was -2.
But my question remains: Can a negative slope have a positive answer?

Are you referring to the slope of the line JOINING points (1,3) & (2,-1) ?
Please show detail work !

If a line slopes down from left to right, the gradient or slope will always be negative. Is that what you are asking?

Slopes don't have answers. A slope can be negative, 0 or positive.
If you mean can a negative slope be positive, the answer is no.
All slopes that compute to be negative will slant in the same way.
All slopes that compute to be positive will slant in the same way.
