In my problem I have the slope of (1,3) & (2,-1). I solved this and got a positive answer. Is this possible??

I am so sorry...
I made a silly mistake and thought the 2 was -2.
But my question remains: Can a negative slope have a positive answer?

Slopes don't have answers. A slope can be negative, 0 or positive.
If you mean can a negative slope be positive, the answer is no.
All slopes that compute to be negative will slant in the same way.
All slopes that compute to be positive will slant in the same way.
