Hello! I study in 7th grade. My Solution is True?↓

Condition
Line a is parallel to line b.Line c= parallel to line b. The distance between a and b=3 cm, between b and c=5 cm. What can be the distance between a and c? Consider all options.

Solution
If c ||(is parallel to) b, then c || a. So the distance from a to c is 3+5. Then the distance from a to c=8 cm.
At the same time, in the figure, the straight lines go from top to bottom:
straight a
straight b
straight c

Now I'll arrange the straight lines like this:
c
a
b
means the distance from a to c=5-3. Then the distance from a to c= 2 cm.
?

I believe your answer to the question is, "The distance can be either 8 cm or 2 cm." Am I right?

If so, then you are correct.
