I have been having problems trying to answer these two problems. I answer the first one but I am worried the answer i have is wrong.

3x - 15 + x = 180 ( linear pair )
That's the correct set-up, Merida, but you've copied a number incorrectly. The 15 should be 12.

When two angles sum to 180º, we call those 'supplementary angles'. For example, if an angle is 80º, then the supplementary angle is 100º (and vice versa).

By the way, when two angles sum to 90º, we call those 'complementary angles'.
