a car sells for $13,000, which is at a 20% discount. What is the un-discounted price of the car?

Hope that helps :D

New user ForeverDarkrai, it "helps" if you use your own example worked out,

but preferably give the student a chance by just doing a couple of beginning

line steps/hints and/or explanation, not the whole solution for the student seeking "help"

without the student showing attempts and/or questions/feedback about the problem first.

It also helps to reply to students who are asking for help now, rather than from months or years ago. ;)

Spammers don't read the forum (although a few conduct research on the site, before spamming; those few may read).

ForeverDarkrai's commercial tutoring site never got off the ground, anyhoo. So, bye bye (but not reported).

Solve 13,000=.20x , solve for x, to find the value of the car.
1) The original post is more than two years old.

2) Your answer is completely wrong. $13000 was at a 20% discount, not 20% of the price.
