Congruent: ways to remember which angles are congruent

What's a way that will help me remember if the angle is congruent,or alt. ext, or alt, it, or corrs int are supplementary? When solving an equation/

Sketch two parallel lines with a transversal. Draw the transversal so it is no where near being perpendicular to the parallel lines. Look at your drawing. It is easy to see which pairs are congruent. If a pair of angles are not congruent, they are supplementary.
