A privately owned forest that had 2,000,000 acres of old growth is being clear cut at a rate of 2% per year
Create an exponential funtion of the form

Q=Q0 x left (1+r )t, where r >0 for growth and r< 0 for decay)

Q=Q0×(1+r)t

I am assuming we want:

[MATH]Q(t)=Q_0(1+r)^t[/MATH]
We are given:

[MATH]Q_0=2000000[/MATH]
[MATH]r=-0.02[/MATH]
Can you proceed?

I am a beginner at learning algebra but seemed to have been put into something a little more advanced than I know how to do.

Is there anyone at your school that you can talk to about getting placed in a more appropriate course? It's very counter-productive to be put in a course for which you are not ready.

Actually I have and I am waiting on a response but until then I have to the course work.
