Converges or Diverges?

I need to know whether 1/(x+sqrt(x) ) converges or diverges. I think it diverges, and I think you can use a comparison test, but I'm not sure how.
 
First of all, do we assume that this is a integral?
If so, we need to know the limits of integration!
If they are from 0 to 1, compare to 1/[2√x]
On the other hand, if it is 1 to ∞ then compare to 1/[2x].
 
Then on [1,∞), x≥√x; so compare to 1/[2x].
