copy/pasting formulas from MS word

Hello,
When i create a formula in word and then copy it and paste to the forums only the text will paste but the formula that i have created (numbers, sub-script, etc) will not copy over. Why is that? On a positive note having to describe your problem without using numbers is good practice. And i do see an option for attaching files. I see an option for .doc but not .docx. Does that pose a problem?

Since we are mathematician's not being able to "talk" with numbers is like having your tounge cut out =)

I didnt see the LaTeX button. I have that all set up on my comp already =)
