Let's do a smaller problem:

If 10 people "each" are given 5 "rupees" than what will the total "cost" of it? Don't directly tell the cost, kindly explain the calculation in steps.

… kindly explain the calculation …
Hi Yaksha. Instead, I'll explain one way of thinking about multiplication of two Whole numbers: Repeated Addition

2 × 3 = 6

Here are repeated-addition models for that multiplication:

3 + 3 = 6

2 + 2 + 2 = 6

We see that 2×3 may be visualized as adding two 3s OR adding three 2s.

Here's another example:

If each vehicle carries four passengers, how many passengers will seven vehicles carry?

We could add the passengers in seven vehicles.

4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 4

Or, we can use multiplication.

7 × 4

I hope this helps you to answer Subhotosh's question.
