forgive me, i can't figure out how to do a delta symbol, so let's pretend 'D' is a triangle......

how do you distribute the cubed symbol? I understand how to do this when it's (Dx+x)[sup:1dtquqg3]2[/sup:1dtquqg3]
but I don't understand (Dx+x)[sup:1dtquqg3]3[/sup:1dtquqg3]

this is just part of a problem I'm doing, not the whole thing, so i'd really appreciate if someone could help me learn how to do this so I can finish the rest of the problems. Thanks in advance!!

Oh! got the delta symbol, so if needed, here it is!
(?x+x)[sup:2fdaatux]3[/sup:2fdaatux]

(?x+x)[sup:35ml4a10]3[/sup:35ml4a10]

Why not use tex, its much much... sexier. Also, any greek character is right at your fingertips... "\Delta" followed by "\delta" for example:

\(\displaystyle \Delta \,\, \,\, \delta\)

So, (\Delta x +x)^3:

\(\displaystyle (\Delta x+x)^3\)

(a + b)[sup:7s1h767b]3[/sup:7s1h767b] = a[sup:7s1h767b]3[/sup:7s1h767b] + 3a[sup:7s1h767b]2[/sup:7s1h767b]b + 3ab[sup:7s1h767b]2[/sup:7s1h767b] + b[sup:7s1h767b]3[/sup:7s1h767b]
