this is part three in a four part assignment. i've done the rest of the problems, but I'm not sure how to go about this one. any help is greatly appreciated:

v(0) = <-120, 3, 4>

a(t) = cs X v
where c is .005 and s is <0, 0, 40>

the initial position is (60, 0, 6) in FEET

here's the problem:

3. Find a different initial velocity (assuming the same s and c as above) that would cause the ball to cross the plate 9'' left of center and 24'' above the ground. Make the initial velocity have an x-component of -100. Find and state the vector function that represents the position of the baseball. Also, determine when the pitch gets to the plate.

So, I've got that it's going to cross at (0, -3/4, 2) but that's it. i have no idea what i should do with this.

if i'm forgetting any information that you need to know, let me know and i'll add it, but there was a lot of stuff in the assignment that wasn't needed, so i may have accidentally excluded something i didn't know we needed.

thanks again for any help

=)
