Curve Tracing

greetings everyone, were currently studying curve tracing in analytic geometry. i always get stucked in a problem when the left side is ^2
[i.e. y^2 = (6+5x+x^2) / (x-4) ] so to get the y we'll have to change the values of x to 0. then i i dont know what do to next with the y^2, if ill just leave it or not. i hope somebody could teach me how to get the answer in this. :) thanks in advance.

You understand that, in a graph, you are using x and y, not y2\displaystyle y^2, don't you? Once you have calculated y2\displaystyle y^2, take the square root to find y. And, of course, if y2=a\displaystyle y^2= a then y=a\displaystyle y= \sqrt{a} and y=a\displaystyle y= -\sqrt{a}.
