did i answer this proportion right?

c/24+c = 12/20
i worked it out and got
c/24+c = 3/5 ((i reduced the fraction))
then,
5c=72+3c
2c=72
c=36

did i do this right?

If you mean "c/(24+c)", you WILL need the parentheses.
