You have posted three problems and have shown no work or expressed any thoughts for two of them. As our name suggests, we provide help, not answers, because understanding is what will let you pass an exam. Next time, please show your work up until the spot where you got stuck or explain why you cannot even start. What conditions must be true to say that f(x) is continuous at x = a? \(\displaystyle If\ a \ne - 4\ and\ a \ne 7,\ is\ f(x)\ continuous\ at\ a?\) To answer the previous question, it may help to specify a law of limits that applies to the limit of quotients. Do you know those laws? Does f(x) exist if x = - 4 or if x = 7? What else do you need to know?
