x + 25x ^1/3 = 7x + y How do you tidy the equation to eliminate the power ? I studied biology in college, so my numeracy ended with stat 101. Asked as part of MBA aptitude test. I thought about cubing everything ! X ^ 3 + 25 ^3 X = 7x ^ 3 or 343 x ^ 3 + y ^ 3. Thanks.
