If the magnetic field in a traveling EM wave has a peak value of 17.5 nT\displaystyle 17.5 \ \text{nT}, what is the peak value of the electric field strength?

The relation between electric field and magnetic field is given by:

E0B0=c\displaystyle \frac{E_0}{B_0} = c

Then,

E0=B0c=299792458(17.5×109)=5.25 V/m\displaystyle E_0 = B_0c = 299792458(17.5 \times 10^{-9}) = \textcolor{blue}{5.25 \ \text{V/m}}
