The equation of a line with slope 'm' and passing through (x1,y1) is: ...... (y - y1) = m * (x - x1)

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.

Another way of looking at it: any non-vertical (finite slope) line can be written as y= mx+ b where "m" IS is the slope. You are told that the slope is -4 so y= -4x+ b. You are told that the line goes through the point (-2, 9) so when x= -2, y= 9. Solve 9= (-4)(-2)+ b to find b.
