evaluate the integral (x^3 + x^2 + 4x -4)/ (x^4 + 4x^2)

this is supposed to be integrated using partial fractions.

could someone just let me know if this is the correct answer??
ln|x| - ln|x^2| + 2ln|x+2| + E

I had A= 1, B= -1, C=2, D=0

Thanks

No, I am sorry to say, that's not correct.

The PFD is:

\(\displaystyle \L\\\frac{2}{x^{2}+4}+\frac{1}{x}-\frac{1}{x^{2}}\)

Now, integrate. Looks like an arctan in the first portion, but the other two portions are rather atrightforward.
