Exponential Equations help!

(sqrt 3) ^2x+4=9^x-2

((3^(1/2))^2)x + 4 = (9^x) -2

before I do any more please confirm which is the power part ie
is the power 2x or 2 , and x-2 or x

so its
sqrt(3)^(2x+4)=9^(x-2)
Next step is
sqrt(3)^(2x+4)=(sqrt(3)^4)^(x-2)
sqrt(3)^(2x+4)=sqrt(3)^(4x-8)
Now that the bases are the same just equate the exponents.
2x+4=4x-8

You had better print out "Order of Operations" so you can check what you type. PEMDAS forever!!!
