exponents and square roots

sqrt(x^2-x) (X^2+1)

I converted (x^2-x) to: x+x^1/2

6x^3-5x^2x-1/2 sqrt(x^2-x)

I converted (x^2-x) to: x+x^1/2

6x^3-5x^2x-1/2 sqrt(x^2-x)

What do you mean by you converted (x^2-x) to x+x^1/2? Are you saying that they are equal to one another? Plug 1 in for x in x^2 - x and get 0 while if you do the same in x + x^(1/2) you get 2. They are not equal.

What do you mean by 6x^3-5x^2x-1/2 sqrt(x^2-x)?????
