i don't know how to get the answer. the answer is

-2ysquared 3radical 2x squared

the problem is as follows

(-16x squared y to the 6 power

please help

I could take a couple of guess at what you mean, but you really have to figure out how to write more understandably. Pull down the "Forum Help" and pick "Karl's Notes" for starters.

Hello, art2ista!

Your wording is very vague . . . and you have the two parts backwards.
You need to use parentheses ... or learn to write in English.

-16x squared y to the 6 power . . . .This is the answer!

The answer is: -2ysquared 3radical 2x squared . . . . This is the problem!

I can see only one way to get that answer . . .
That "3" is a cube, right?

Here's my guess: \(\displaystyle \:(-2y^2)^3(\sqrt{2}x)^2\)

Then we have: \(\displaystyle \:(-2)^3\cdot(y^2)^3\cdot(\sqrt{2})^2\cdot(x)^2\)

. . . =  8y62x2\displaystyle = \;-8\cdot y^6\cdot2\cdot x^2

. . . =  16x2y6\displaystyle = \;-16x^2y^6
