my question is:

12t^2 - 75

I am not sure what to do??????? :?:

Take out the greatest common factor.

12=2(2)(3)
75=3(5)(5)

Which prime factors do they have in common?

Let f=greatest common factor, you should then have f(a^2-b^2). Notice a^2-b^2 is a difference of squares which can be factored to (a+b)(a-b).

Your final answer should be in the form of f(a+b)(a-b).
