ok, i have figured out how to factor trinomials ( like perfect square trinomials) but i have a problem here that looks like a perfect square trinomial except the minus is in the wrong place! i can't find any problems like it in my book and i can't factor it...help please!

the problem is 6x2 + 5xy - 6y2 (the two's are "squared" sorry can't figure out how to do the little numbers)[/tex]

Use the ^ : 6x^2

Your expression is easily factorable; hint: 3x = 2y or 2x = -3y
