Find the common solution

I need help with two problems. I understand somewhat how to do them, but I can't find the answer. Please help me, but do not give me the answers. Here are the problems:

Find the Common Solutions

8x + 13y = 2 and y = x-2

px + qy= r and 2px - qy = 2r

px + qy= r
2px - qy = 2r [II]

+[II] is 3px=3r.

Now you can find x. Having x, then find y.

Does x = r/p and y = 0? :? And for my first problem would x = 4/9 and y = 0 :?:

Nevermind, the last post I sent. I had a brainfart for a moment and then realized what I was supposed to do :D  . I already took the test and got the answers right. Thanks for all your help.
