*Anyone can help me how to find the 1st term? *

Possible steps to solve this problem:

- Assume that the first term of the GP is 'a' and common ratio 'r'.

- Consult your textbook/class-notes/Google and find the equation for the SUM of first 'n' terms of a GP ( first term of the GP is 'a' and common ratio 'r' ).

- What will be the expression for sum of first 8 terms ?

- What will be the expression for sum of first 10 terms ?

- steps (3) and (4) will give two equations with 2 unknowns ('a' & 'r')

- Solve for 'a' and 'r' using your favorite method.
