This parabola is a graph of the equation y=2x^2+3
Translate the parabola by (1,2). Write an equation for the translated parabola.
To translate any graph by (1,2) replace x by (x-1) and add 2 to the expression for y

Hence new graph has equation y=2(x-1)^2 +5 = 2x^2-4x+7
