(I apologize for the poor quality of the image.)

I really just want to check and make sure that this looks good. I struggle with proofs most of the times

6.jpgGiven: triangle BDC and triangle CEB are right triangles, line DB is congruent to line EC
Prove: triangle BDC is congruent to triangle CEB

StatementsReason
1. triangle BDC and triangle CEB are right triangles 1. Given
2. line DB is congruent to line EC2. Given
3. line BC is congruent to line BC3. Reflexive Property
4. triangle BDC is congruent to triangle CEB4. HL

(All bold was what the text gave me)

Hello, vampirewitchreine!

I was not familiar with the designation "HL".
. . Then its meaning jumped out at me.

There is a corollary to the usual "a.s.a.", "s.a.s.", "s.s.s."
. . used for congruent triangles.

. . If in two right triangles, the hypotenuse and a leg of one triangle
. . . . are equal to the hypotenuse and a leg of the other,
. . . . then the two right triangles are congruent.

Your proof is correct . . . Good work!
