Shirely is catching a flight at 11:00 PM (adelaide local time) from adelaide to india. The flight distance is 12,000 km and the average speed of the flight slowed down to 800km/hr due to a turbulence causing an hour delay. Find at what time the plane was originally supposed to arrive.

Ok, so how long would it take to go 800 km if you travel at 800km/h?
How long would it take you to travel 1600km if you travel at 800km/h?
What about 2400km?
What about 12 000km?

Hi Josh,

Real flight takes 12000/800=15 hours
Original flight was supposed to take an hour less - 14 hours.
So, at 1:00 AM Adelaide Time was the originally supposed arriving time.
