apparently, top graph’s reciprocal graph should look like the bottom one, but I don’t know why. Can someone give me solution for this??
Cannot view the graph/s neither can we view your work!!

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.

What happens to 1/f when f aproaches zero? Concretly, what happens to 1/f when f aproaches 0 “from the right (f “falls” to zero)” and what happens when f aproaches 0 “from the left (f “grows” to 0)”?
On the other hand, if f rises steadily (aproaches infinity, although we can’t really deduce that from this graph), what happens to 1/f?
Also, if f(x) = y, then 1/f(x) = 1/y, right?

If you have a hard time dealing with this apstractly, take some concrete numbers, aka what is 1/1, 1/2, 1/3, 1/10, 1/100? What can you deduce from this? On the other hand, what is 1/1, 1/0.1, 1/0.0001, ...

Also, can we deduce anything about the sign of the reciprocal function? What is 1/(-1), and what is 1/1? More generally, what is the sign of 1/x for x>0, and for x<0?
