Hi. I need a little help.

here is the problem.

"Determine whether or not one or more pairs of twin primes exist between the pair of numbers given. If so, identify the twin primes."
The numbers are 14 and 25.

I honestly have no idea how to figure this out.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tara

Well, the general case is a bit out of my league, but [14,25]? Write a list.

Prime or not? If not, provide a factorization:
14 - No (2x7)
15 - No (3x5)
16 - No (4x4)
17 - Yes
18 - No (3x6)
19 - Yes
20 - No (4x5)
21 - No (3x7)
22 - No (2x11)
23 - Yes
24 - No (3x8)
25 - No (5x5)

There you have it. 17 and 19.

What is a twin prime?
Twin primes are prime numbers that differ by 2. For example, 17 and 19 are twin primes.

The twin prime conjecture says that there are infintely many twin primes. Nobody knows yet if this is true (but many people are working on it).
