These are all graphing problems, but I have to do the work for them too. I have no idea how to start these.

Determine an appropriate viewing rectangle for the given function and use it to draw a graph.

1) f(x)= x/x^2 + 100

2) y= x^2 + 0.02sin50x

3) Graph the hyperbola y^2 -9x^2=1 by graphing the functions whose graphs are the upper and lower branches of the hyperbola.

To learn how to change the viewing window on your graphing calculator, consult the owners manual. The chapter on "graphing" should have step-by-step instructions, and probably a worked example.

What might be an "appropriate" viewing window will likely vary from person to person, according to taste, so we probably can't help you there. But if you ZOOM in and out, you may notice that some windows are more useful to you that others.
