ok heres the problem...
If a circle is inscribed in a square w/ a perimeter of 24cm, what is the circumference of the circle?

how am i supposed to figure this out?!??!

Draw the circle inside the square.

If the perimeter of the square is 24 centimeters, what is the length of one side?

Now draw the diameter of the circle. Notice the relationship between the diameter and the square's sides. What is the length of the diameter?

Then what is the circumference of the circle?

Eliz.

If s is the length of the side of a square then 4s is the square’s perimeter. The length of the side of a square is the diameter of a inscribed circle.
