I’m in 6th grade and I know how to use the standard algorithm to work problems like this but my teacher said I had to use an area model. Some help with this would be appreciated. ThanksUwU.

Hello ATFIHTB. Please finish the request you received to read the forum's guidelines (see: Read Before Posting). Those guidelines explain the best way to ask for help here. Without an exercise statement, it's hard to provide specific help.

Example: Divide 3/4 by 3/1 using an area model.

1) Draw a rectangle whose area is 3/4 square units; dimensions: 1/4 unit wide by 3/1 units long

2) Divide the rectangle into three pieces lengthwise (each piece with dimensions 1/4 unit wide by 1 unit long)

3) Calculate the area of a single piece (area = 1/4 × 1)

4) This shows that 3/4 ÷ 3/1 = 1/4
