I do not quite understand - what do you need to show for the problem above. You have posted an identity. There is nothing to solve. Do you need to show that the identity is true?

What are your thoughts?

First, you "solve" a problem or answer a "question". But here I see neither! Yes it is true that \(\displaystyle (a+ b)^2= a^2+ 2ab+ b^2\) for all numbers a and b. But I have no idea what you want on the other side of that last "=" sign.
