Oh I've found the answer. I don't know why I thought I needed to do the elimination method when reading the question. Thank you for your help, though!

Sounds like you're done, but here's this anyway:

If

[imath]\frac{3x}{y}=9[/imath]

[imath]x^2+y^2=250[/imath]​

then

[imath]x=3y[/imath]

[imath](3y)^2+y^2=10y^2=250[/imath]​
