The speed of a 120 meter long train is 54 km per hour. It crosses a bridge in 32 seconds.

  • Determine the length of the bridge in kilometer.
  • Determine the speed of the train in kilometer per hour to cross the bridge in 24 seconds.
  • Determine the length of the train when the speed of the train is 54 km per hour and it cross the bridge in 36 seconds.

Just keep in mind that the distance it travels in the 32 seconds is its own length plus the length of the bridge, since it is the time from the front of the train first reaching the bridge until the rear of the train is off the bridge. Draw a picture if you don't see this.
