Hello everyone,

I have a question; there is a control group consisting of 9500 people, picked 475 people, and there is a pilot consisting of 500 people, picked 23 people. How do you do Hypothesis testing?

Here's how I do that; please correct me if I did wrong; I calculated with excel.

Alpha
0,1
P-bar
475/9500=0,05
P
23/500=0,046
Z
(0,05-0,046)/sqrt(0,046*(1-0,0460)/(9500+500))=1,909443834
P-Value
1-Normdist(1,909;0;1;TRUE)=0,02810243

Thank you.
Thomas.

You didn't state the problem statement i.e. what are your null and alternate hypotheses?
