I am a total beginner: (2 * 3) + (6 / 3) = 8?? Is this correct?

Do I do the math in the brackets then plus them together for my answer?

(2 * 3) + (6 / 3) = 8?? Is this correct?

Also,


(2 * 3) + (6 / 3) + 2 = 10?? Is this correct?

Yes. Order of Operations says work inside grouping symbols first.

(2 * 3) + (6 / 3) = 8
